The bookstore wants to ensure that all customers have a positive experience in the children's department.
New booksellers in the children's department must learn how to implement the company's customer service standards.
The booksellers must also enforce policies to protect the safety of children in the store.
At the end of this course, booksellers will:
Greet all customers and recommend appropriate books
Put the book in the customer’s hand or offer to order it
Enforce company safety policies relating to the children’s department
This interactive scenario-based course will guide new booksellers through typical customer interactions. They will practice customer service skills and implementing company policies.
I created a design document to lay out the plan for the project. This includes the business purpose of the training, the target audience, and the learning objectives. I also created a prelimary outline of the training. I proposed a scenario-based training so that new associates could practice applying company policies in realistic scenarios.
I designed the bookstore setting in Vyond. I selected a primary color palette to match the subject matter (the children's department of a bookstore) and selected elements to create The setting has a foreground, midground, and background, with decreasing saturation creating the impression of distance.
I created a visual storyboard to map out the eLearning experience. This storyboard specifies the visuals, script, animations, and interactive elements for each slide.
I used Vyond to create animated clips for the branching scenarios. I also used AI voice generation to create the audio.
Finally, I used Articulate Storyline 360 to bring the project to life.
